#hackjsy profile: Team ‘Coding Programme’

Formed by students of the inaugral Digital Jersey coding programme.

Who are they?

Nicolle Maltwood, Demri Mitchell, Brad Kearsey, Sara Pike.

Special mention and thanks to Decio Ferreira who stepped in over the weekend to give the team some advice and encouragement based on his own experience.

What did they make?

A web app designed to solve everyday frustrations with the bus service – such as missing your bus by a few minutes (or worse, not realising you’ve missed it!) – which used live data to plot the current locations of buses on a map.

Where can I see it?

Unfortunately the solution produced isn’t currently online. The team are hoping to publish the code via github in the future.

And what does the future hold?

For the students? Their graduation! For their app? There are currently no plans to continue development, but once the code is made public, it will be available for anyone who is interested to pick up.
